BRIEF HISTORY

C & P Rent-A-Car (Pte) Ltd (CPRAC) is incorporated in Singapore in 1979. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of C & P Holdings Pte Ltd (CPH), a company incorporated in Singapore since 1970. CPH core business is in warehousing, logistics and infrastructure.

C & P Holdings Pte Ltd (formerly known as Containerisation & Packaging Industries Pte Ltd) was incorporated in Singapore on 11 August 1970. The founding shareholders are Mr. Stanley Liao and Mr. Loi Kai Meng, both former EDB senior officers involved in the early days of the Singapore Industrialisation Programme.

During the Containerisation Programme undertaken by the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) to convert Singapore from a conventional port to a container port, C & P was set up to take advantage of the supporting service infrastructure required by PSA such as container depot services, warehouse distribution and container haulage.

Over the years, C & P has grown from a small company into a leading total logistics company, committed to enhancing Singapore’s role as a distribution hub in the South-east Asian region. With a strong determination to excel, C & P has established over the years a reputable status and recognition in the local market for its four core divisions, namely Warehouse & Container Yard, Transportation, Marine & Shipping and Car Rental & Industrial Leasing.

In recent years, the Government of Singapore has encouraged local companies to venture abroad into the region. The pioneering spirit of C & P now continues as C&P expands into neighbouring countries such as Australia, Malaysia, China and Myanmar.

CPRAC currently owns and manages more than 550 cars, buses and vans. We are one of the largest and most reputable car rental company in Singapore. Incidentally, we are also the largest limousine company in Singapore with close to 50 Mercedes cars, mini-buses, MPVs and a range of standard cars like Toyota Camry.

Our Strength is in both Self Drive and Chauffeur Drive.

For Self Drive cars, we carry more than 65 different makes, models and variants. Not only do we carry your traditional Japanese 1300cc to 3500cc cars, we also carry many different Continental models including Mercedes Benz, BMWs, Lexus, Renault, VW and even Porsches.

For Chauffeur Drive, we not only provide Transfers to and from airport but also a car at your Disposal, whether you want to go for meetings, shopping or sight seeing. In the last few years, our company has been managing countless high profile events like the MTV Asia, George Bush Visit, Asian AeroSpace in 2004/6, IOC Meeting 2006, S2006 World Bank Meeting, Asean Summit 2007, F1 2008/9, Singapore AirShow 2008 and APEC 2009.
